Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana hasstarted a programto help raise money for GSK and do something positive for the environment. GSK has teamed up with an electronics recycling company who has created a program for non-profit organizations to assist in the collection of old cell phones and used printer cartridges for recycling.

Troops will be able to earn money towards their Family Partnership goal by collectingcell phones and ink jetsand turning them in for credit. Eachservice unitwill receive collection boxes which will need to be marked with yourservice unitnumber. These boxes can be given to Girl Scout troops who want to participate in the program. When the box is full, theservice unit manageror Family PartnershipChair will contact the recycling company and arrange for pickup of the box. It's that simple!

The recycling program will be an ongoing project throughout the entire Kentuckiana council. This fledgling project has been received with enthusiasm throughout the council. The Fund Development Department is working out the details of the program to make it a smooth proccess for all parties involved. We will update you with new information as soon as it is available.

Contact information for collection of the boxes will be coming soon!
