Camp Properties - Stem Adventure Center

Online summer resident camp registration is available for those wishing to register for one session without a buddy. (Please note that bus fees are built into the price. If your Girl Scout does not plan to ride the bus, please email us so that we may provide a credit after you register.)

The largest of our camps, this 1400-acre site is located on the Ohio River near Laconia, IN and has two winterized buildings, tent platforms a group shelter, and adirondack shelters, as well as primitive camping. Easy, moderate, and difficult trails are available, as well as caving, ropes course, and teams course programming for older girls. Stem is the home of a great deal of wildlife, with rare species of plants and many historic sites to explore. For reservation information, contact Betty Krekel at the Council Office, 888-771-5170. Repair and Information Cards

In an attempt to respond faster to your identified maintenance and safety concerns on our properties, we have placed Repair and Information cards in all of the units. If you see a problem in the camp, write it down on the card. Place the completed card in the slot provided, or send it to Jed Johnson at the posted address. Thanks for helping the program staff better care for the camps.
