Brochure Correction

A mistake has been printed in the brochure on page 14. The Splash Bash session for June 22-27 is for grades 4-5 and NOT 1-3. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Online Registration Available Soon

Online registration is available for those wishing to sign up for one session at a time and without a buddy (see the navigation box to the right). Please note that the bus fee has been built into the online price. Please contact the council registrar after you register if your Girl Scout does not plan to ride the bus so that we may provide a credit. As always, you are also welcome to send in your registration forms via U.S. Mail.

Gift Certificates for Resident Camp

Looking for that special gift? Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana is selling gift certificates for resident camp fees. These would be great for holidays, birthdays, special occasions, or any gift! You can purchase these in any service center or the Louisville office.

Free T-shirt

Every girl who attends resident camp this year will receive a free t-shirt when they come to the Trading Post!

Bus Fee

Only interested in riding the bus one way? Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana is now offering the option of riding the bus one way at a fraction of the cost!

Deposit System

You will only send a deposit if your camper is confirmed for her session. Please follow this schedule:

Confirmation Deposit: 10 business days - If your daughter has been placed in camp, you have 10 business days after notification to pay a $50.00 deposit to secure her placement ($25.00 deposit if applying for a Scoutership or if attending TAC or Family Camp). If payment is not made on time, the space will be filled by a camper on the waiting list and your camper will be moved to the waiting list. Cookie Dough cannot be used for the Confirmation Deposit.

Final Payment Deadline: May 16 - The final payment date for ALL programs (except Family Camp) is May 16, 2007. Families receiving Scouterships will be notified by mail regarding final payment. Registrations received after May 16 are to be paid in full once placement is confirmed. Arrangements can be made for Scoutership families applying after May 16. IMPORTANT: After May 16, an unpaid balance will result in cancellation of session placement.

Confirmation

If your daughter is placed in a camp program, a Camper Confirmation Packet will be mailed approximately 4 weeks after the February 15 phase of registration begins. We ask that families please wait until you receive a confirmation by mail instead of calling the office for this information.

Registration Dates

Summer camp registration will begin on February 15 for Girl Scouts in our council and March 14 for out-of-council Girl Scouts and non-Girl Scouts. Registration for Troop Adventure Camp and additional summer camp sessions begins on March 14. CIT applications are also due on March 14. Registration for Family Camp begins on April 18. Registrations will be taken until sessions are full.

Payment Deadlines

• Confirmation Deposit Deadline: within 10 days of confirmation

• Final Camp & Troop Camp Payment Deadline: May 16, 2008

• Final Family Camp Payment Deadline: July 20, 2008

Camp Fees 43% Off

Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana is committed to providing high-quality, affordable outdoor programming for girls. The camp fee paid by families only covers 57% of the actual cost. Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana covers the remaining 43%. Thanks to the support of product sales, monies donated in Family & Community Partnership, Trading Post sales, and other sources of income, we are able to keep the price of camp sessions substantially lower than the actual cost.
