Ceremonies Self-Study Course
A self-study course on Ceremonies was developed for those who are not able to take the class in person. The course uses the videotape "Milestones to Memories." If you are interested in this self-study, you can check out the kit from your volunteer coordinator, complete the guide, evaluation, etc. and return them and the kit to the volunteer coordinator. She will then give you credit for the course. All the reference materials are contained in the kit. There is a charge for the kit if it is not returned in good condition.

Girl Scout Leadership

Required along with the appropriate age level training for at least one leader of each troop within their first troop year.

This workshop is offered to all leaders, Daisy through Senior. It is designed to help develop good troop organization while examining the basic Girl Scout traditions, the Promise and the Law, the Mission, and Program goals. It helps leaders understand how to progressively involve girls in planning and evaluating the troop program. Leaders learn how to prepare a troop budget and manage troop funds, recruit parents to help with the troop, include all girls and celebrate special days in Girl Scouting. A Home Studies Course is available for Girl Scout Leadership.

What to bring

Safety-Wise, Leader Information Book and the Leader’s Digest. If you are also taking an age level training the same day, bring the leader’s guide and girl handbook for your troop’s age level.
