Ceremonies Self-Study Course
A self-study course on Ceremonies was developed for those who are not able to take the class in person. The course uses the videotape "Milestones to Memories." If you are interested in this self-study, you can check out the kit from your volunteer coordinator, complete the guide, evaluation, etc. and return them and the kit to the volunteer coordinator. She will then give you credit for the course. All the reference materials are contained in the kit. There is a charge for the kit if it is not returned in good condition.

First Aid & CPR Training

Required for activities beyond the troop level or troop activities that require physical exertion

At least one adult with First Aid and CPR training (a "first-aider") must be with the troop. American Red Cross chapters regularly schedule First Aid and CPR courses. National Safety Council’s Green Cross and the American Heart Association’s CPR courses also meet requirements to certify Girl Scout leaders. If you are unable to attend one in your area, we offer a limited number of First Aid and CPR classes.

Be prepared to take a written exam and demonstrate CPR skills. You must register two weeks in advance for these courses since books must be ordered. The fee for First Aid and CPR certification will be depend on your service center.
